Nicole Byer made a big announcement today. The comedian, who is best known for her work with Netflix on the show Nailed It!, is joining the legions of comics with Netflix specials.
“I’m so fucking excited to do this,” Byer said in a statement. “I’m so grateful that Netflix is giving me a nice lil platform to have some fun tee hee hee.”
Despite this being her first hour, this isn’t Byer’s first time doing stand-up on the streamer. Back in 2019, she was one of the four Americans – alongside Neal Brennan, Chris D’Elia and Nick Swardson – who participated in Netflix’s international special, Comedians of the World. On that show, she did 30 minutes of stand-up.
The special will be filmed September 5th at the Gramercy Theater in New York, and will premiere on Netflix later this year.
