HBO Max released the trailer for the latest re-boot of an 80s property, Head of the Class.

The re-booted series follows, “a group of overachieving high school students who meet their greatest challenge — a teacher who wants them to focus less on grades and more on experiencing life.” Isabella Gomez (One Day At A Time) serves as a gender reversal of the easy-going teacher role. In the original, Howard Hesseman served as the class’s mentor for fore a few seasons to be later replaced by Billy Connolly. Robin Givens appears in the new series, reviving her role of Darlene Merriman – a student in the original run of the show – and serving as the transitional character between the old and new series, so this can be considered a re-launch more than a reboot of the series.

The original series ran for five seasons from 1986 until 1991 and was created by Rich Eustis and Michael Elias. This new version was written by Amy Pocha and Seth Cohen, and executive produced by Pocha, Cohen, Bill Lawrence, Jeff Ingold, Phill Lewis, and Bill Callahan.

Head of the Class comes to HBO Max on November 4th.
