How did you discover your passion for comedy:
When my friends were sharing a clip of Russell Peters, the first comedian I ever saw.
What do you remember most about your first time performing stand-up comedy:
My parents forbade me from ever doing it again.
How would you describe your comedic style:
A mix of personal and social commentary.
Describe your process for comedic writing:
Jot down ideas throughout the day and then sit down and write out a few premises.
Describe the comedy scene in your area:
I’m in LA and there are a few clubs and a lot of indie shows or at least there was pre-pandemic. Now it’s some shows in some random person’s backyard.
How do you judge success in the world of comedy:
I have no idea.
Who are some of your comedic peers that you enjoy watching perform or inspire you personally and professionally:
Marina Franklin and Aida Rodriguez, to name a few.
What’s been your most memorable moment in comedy:
Being able to quit my day job was my best and most memorable moment.
What have you learned most from your failures in comedy:
To take my failures less seriously. Bombing should be enjoyed. Who doesn’t love watching their friends bomb? It’s hilarious.
How do people react towards you when they realize that you can make people laugh:
Sometimes people demand jokes which is annoying.
Describe what it’s been like building a career in stand-up comedy:
Terrible. Don’t do this.
If you could change one thing in the world of comedy, what would it be:
Get rid of all the sexism.
Best advice you’ve ever received from a comedian:
“Don’t get your hopes up. That crowd sucks.”

I have no idea. I don’t even know the future of this planet. Everything’s on fire.

Friends. Haven’t thought it out but Joey says “How You Doin?”
If you could choose 1 comedy club and 3 comedians to perform with on your perfect comedy show, how would it go:
Any club with a good bouncer, Richard Pryor, Joan Rivers, and George Carlin. Forget punchlines, the audience would just be impressed I brought people back from the dead.
