Every year, comedians, industry folks, and comedy fans alike all run to Montreal for the annual Just For Laughs comedy festival. It’s always a fun, laugh-filled few weeks, as it has been since it started in 1983. But now, they’re taking the laughs to a whole new location: Cancun.
This morning, the inaugural Just For Laughs Escapes – Cancun was announced. Taking place from November 3rd through the 7th, JFL has partnered with the travel company Pollen Presents to take over the Barcelo Maya Grand Resorts. The festival promises to include “tier comedic programming, featuring stand-up comedy, interactive events, bespoke activities, pool parties, club nights, all-inclusive amenities and more with fans from around the world.”
So far, the announced comics for the festival are Jim Jeffries, Tom Segura, Nikki Glaser, Steve-O, Nicole Byer, Donnell Rawlings, Jay Pharoah, Ron Funches, Girls Gotta Eat, Debra Digiovanni, Goddamm Comedy Jan, with more to be announced soon.
