Since the late 90s, the Comedy Central half-hour specials have been something of a launching pad for some of the brightest up-and-coming comics. And while the specials aren’t quite as much of a staple as they once were for the network, we’re happy they’re still shining a light on new comics.
And now, Comedy Central has announced the tapings for three new half hours. On July 30th, Ian Lara, RB Butcher, and Yedoye Travis will be taping their specials at The Knitting Factory in Brooklyn. Plus, the network will also be shooting shorter sets from comics such as Aminah Imani, Andrew Orolfo, Ashton Womack, Chanel Ali, Dan Perlman, Emma Willmann, Gianmarco Soresi, Irene Tu, Jared Goldstein, Kate Willett, Lucas O’Neil, Matthew Broussard, Reggie Conquest, and Sam Tallent.
