Next April marks the 50th anniversary of what is arguably one of the most well-known comedy clubs in the world, The Comedy Store. And to help commemorate that event, there’s a new business that the Store is getting into.
On Instagram today, the club announced its plans to create The Comedy Store Records. It is being described as “the new home for the best of the past, present, and future of comedy albums.” Whether or not this means that they will be going into their archives to release some previously unreleased material remains to be seen.
Details are still pretty vague at this time, but if that means potential new comedy albums will be coming out, they’ve definitely piqued our interest!
