One of Los Angeles, California’s most notable female comedians, will be making an unexpected return to the world of stand-up comedy this week as part of an all-star event at one of Hollywood’s most legendary comedy clubs.
Kate Quigley shocked comedy fans on social media, announcing her return to stand-up comedy as part of Tuesday Night Comedy at the Hollywood Improv.
Earlier this month, Quigley had been recovering from drug addiction at a rehabilitation resort in Rosarito, Mexico. Not only would the comedy show feature her return, but it would also feature high-profile performances from Jessica Keenan, Brian Monarch, Dane Cook, Damon Wayans, and Adam Carolla.
“Surprise! Time to go balls out. Haven’t felt nerves before a show in quite a while. But nerves are a great thing. They mean you’re alive.” – Quigley post on Twitter account.
This will not be a “One & Done” experience for the Date Fails comedian as Quigley recently confirmed with a fan on social media that she will be making a comedic appearance at Chris Jericho’s Rock ‘n’ Wrestling Rager at Sea Cruise on October 25th-29th.
In early September, Quigley would survive an accidental cocaine overdose that took the lives of comedians Fuquan Johnson, Enrico Colangeli, and Venice, California resident Natalie Williamson. Kate would spend a week in a Los Angeles area hospital and upon release, immediately would check herself into a rehabilitation center.
The former Playboy TV and AVN Awards host has always been known as a positive personality/inspiration amongst her comedic peers throughout her comedy career and her recovery has been no exception. Kate has remained hilariously active on social media throughout her rehabilitation with various memes and remarks to celebrity rumors.
We Own The Laughs would like to send our love and support to Kate Quigley as she continues her successful road back to comedy.
