Netflix has dropped the trailer for Standing-Up, the latest series from Call My Agent! creator Fanny Herrero.
Les Film Du Kiosque’s six-parter, which drops worldwide next month, follows Aïssatou, Nezir, Bling and Apolline, four artists from different backgrounds who are trying to break into the world of stand-up comedy. They meet every day at the Drôle, a Parisian comedy club, where they come to practice their art: making people laugh. All of them want to make a living from comedy. But it is humor that allows them to live.
Herrero, who has achieved global acclaim for Call My Agent!, for which Amazon and Sunadnce Now are making a UK remake, is a creator with Hervé Lassïnce. Mariama Gueye, Younes Boucif, Elsa Guedj, Jean Siuen are playing the lead roles.
Farid Bentoumi (Épisodes 1, 3, 5) and Bryan Marciano (Épisodes 2, 4, 6) share directing credits and additional scriptwriters are Eliane Montane, Judith Havas, Camille De Castelnau, Lison Daniel.
Herrero’s other credits include Kabul Kitchen and Un village français.
