Over the past couple of months, rapper/actor Tip Harris has garnered mainstream attention with several surprise stand-up comedy performances. Starting at a comedy club in Atlanta, Georgia, and highlighted by an exceptional guest performance during Crack’em Up Thursdays inside the world-famous Comedy Store in Los Angeles, California, Harris quickly becomes one of comedy’s newest superstars.

Recently announced as a special guest comedian for basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal’s annual comedy event, Tip’s wave of momentum has seemed to ruffle many feathers in the world of comedy. Comedians have taken to social media to voice their concerns as the hip-hop megastar has not put in enough stage time to be granted the opportunity of performing on high-profile shows.

Not one to shy away from controversy, earlier this week, Harris would decide to post a video on his Instagram stories acknowledging the remarks from his comedy critics.

Imitating the voice of the legendary comedian Red Foxx, Tip would address the comedy backlash and vulgarly suggest what each comedian should do if they want the same opportunities as him.

“Good morning everybody, I was woke up abruptly this morning by what I believe to be was the spirit of Red Foxx. He tapped me on my shoulder and he told me that I owed everyone a solution or some form of an explanation. Because I had taken away opportunities from fellow comedians that felt like they should be in the position that I have made it in such a short time. So I tell ya, to all the comedians that feel like I have gotten in your way, I offer you a suggestion, do like everybody else who wanted to get in the position in Hollywood who ain’t got it yet. Go suck some d*ck, b*tch!”Tip Harris replies on Instagram.

A multi-platinum selling recording artist with smash hits Swagga Like Us and What You Know, Harris is considered one of the pioneers of trap music. Aside from music, the 41-year-old boasts an acting résumé that includes roles in ATLAmerican Gangster Ant-Man, and Takers, as well as his VH1 reality series T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle.

Tip Harris will be a special guest comedian at the 2022 Shaquille O’Neal All-Star Comedy Jam Thursday, February 10th, at The Mircosoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. Tickets are available HERE!
