Great comedians never waste an opportunity to market themselves or their upcoming shows/projects.
Attending her sister’s wedding, comedian Ali Macofsky would be honored with the task of delivering a speech regarding her sister’s joyous occasion. Within etiquette, a wedding speech must focus on the couple while talking great about them. Hilarious wedding speeches do much better because infusing jokes in your speech gets more attention.
Already known as the “funny sibling” of the family, Macofsky would not only deliver memorable laughs throughout her address, she also found numerous opportunities to promote her upcoming comedy performances and merchandise sales.
Ali would feature a video of the wedding performance on her personal Instagram page and quickly spread it throughout social media.
Titled Comedian Destroys Sisters Wedding Speech, Macofsky would begin asking guests to lower their expectations on her performance as she will not be receiving any income from the performance.
“I’m the final speech of the night, my name is Ali, I am the comedian, but I do want you to lower your expectations because I’m not getting paid for this.”- Macofsky tells wedding attendees.
Ali would continue performance by sharing a personal story regarding Brittany’s (sister/bride) constant acknowledgment of her as the “Wise” sister, only to realize that she never referred to her as wise, but as the “Why” sister for always having to question her actions. Macofsky would sarcastically give an example of her sister and new brother-in-law’s generosity by informing attendees and viewers of her upcoming tour dates and merchandise store.
She would conclude her performance by informing attendees of her lack of knowledge in marriage but was very confident in her sister’s union due to many great role models throughout their lives. Macofsky wouldn’t recognize her parents as role models but does assume that her sister has other fantastic role models to look up to.
“I don’t know that much, but I do know that you (Brittany) and Josh (husband) are going to have a long, happy marriage because you’ve had so many great role models to look up to. Not my mom and dad, but I’m sure you had someone.” -Ali Macofsky concluded.
