Stand-up comedian David A. Arnold had a few things to say about a local restaurant while performing in San Antonio earlier this month. Arnold, who is known for his “David A. Arnold: Fat Ballerina” Netflix special, posted a video across his social media accounts on March 11 calling out a San Antonio restaurant for making him and his crew members wait to be served when the restaurant was half empty.

He did not name the restaurant but said it was “next door” to the LOL Comedy Club, where he performed that weekend.

“Why we gotta wait 20 minutes and ain’t nobody in here?” he said in the video.

Arnold said the restaurant’s policy was to serve those with reservations before walk-ins, and so his group went online and made a reservation. He said all the reservation timeslots were available, and they still had to wait 10 minutes before they were finally seated.

“I don’t know what’s going on with these reservations out here in San Antonio, but I need y’all to get your (expletive) together,” he said.

The video received over 30,000 views across his YouTube and Instagram pages.

A 20-year stand-up veteran who has made his living performing, acting, and writing for TV and film. David has performed on everything from Comedy Central to BET. He has one Netflix Special currently streaming and preparing for a second to be produced by Lena Waithe and Kevin Hart.
