Take Your Shoes Off ranges between interviews & casual conversations with other comedians, actors, directors, musicians, collectors, and anyone else Rick Glassman find interesting. Glassman also has his family on often. Sometimes it’s educational (nerding out about comedy, writing, directing, basketball, comics & Magic the Gathering), sometimes it’s quite serious talking about OCD, therapy, and personal obstacles. Often it’s VERY silly. Whatever you’re into, they probably cover it… with a hint of awkwardness. Come on in and enjoy — but please make sure to TAKE YOUR SHOES OFF.

This week, Rick and Adam Ray recorded this one outside, on the roof of the W Hotel in Hollywood, CA for the #Netflix #NetflixIsAJoke Festival. They wore headset microphones out on the rooftop pool and did what they do best.

From an early age, Adam was fascinated with the entertainment industry. He was inspired to be part of Hollywood to produce different kinds of movies after watching movies with his family as a child. Growing up in Seattle, he attended Shorecrest High School where he was known as the class clown. He had everyone around him laughing including his friends and teachers. However, he had insecurities as he had issues with his weight when he was younger, but he believes that is what lead him to comedy

Recently seen on HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm and the Netflix film Game Over Man, from the creators of Workaholics. He recently wrapped production on a season of Arrested Development for Netflix, as well as season 2 of American Vandal, also for Netflix.

He can be seen in the Jennifer Lopez comedy Second Act, and on the HBO show Ballers. He was also a cast member in the reboot of the sketch comedy show Return of the Mac. Ray is known for his work opposite Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy in Paul Feig’s buddy cop comedy The Heat. He was also featured in Paul Feig’s Spy and last summer’s reboot of Ghostbusters, in which he voiced the iconic character of Slimer and played a supporting role as well. He co-hosted the comedy game show Separation Anxiety on TBS and has guest-starred on 2 Broke Girls, Workaholics, Silicon Valley, and @Midnight.

He has written for MTV’s Punk’dDevine’s House Party, and the reboot of Mystery Science Theater. Ray’s stand-up has been featured on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, as well as Devine’s House Party on Comedy Central. He is a regular on The Carolla Podcast but also co-hosts the popular About Last Night podcast. His hilarious sketches, which have garnered over 30 million views on YouTube and Funny Or Die, can be viewed at adamraycomedy.com.
