If you ever meet Katie Cazorla, you’ll probably think she’s sick or smokes a lot, but believe it or not, that’s just her voice! During a recent performance at the Laugh Factory comedy club in Hollywood, California, Katie explains being born with the voice of an angel. An angel that smokes 3 packs a day.

A veteran of entertainment for the past 22 years, Katie Cazorla’s career would begin after winning a comedy competition in 1999, which led to her moving from New York to Los Angeles, California. She started in 2000 at infamous clubs around Los Angeles. Cazorla would take a break from stand-up for a period to star in her own show Nail Files, which broke rating history on TV Guide Network and landed her spots on Jimmy Kimmel Live, NBC, BET, FOX and Hallmark. After starring in E! channel Second Wives Club, Katie decided to go back to her love of writing and performing stand-up comedy. Now, Katie is a regular performer at various marquee comedy clubs such as The Laugh Factory, The Comedy Store, and HaHa Comedy Club. She’s also a reoccurring co-host on Steve Harvey’s daily talk show on ABC. Cazorla attributes her successful work ethic from nights of living in her car when she first moved to Los Angeles and never giving up.

Opening its doors in 1979, the World Famous Laugh Factory has been recognized as “the #1 comedy club in the country” by such high-profile media as USA Today. With southern California locations in Hollywood (its original Sunset Boulevard locale) and Long Beach (opened in 2008), comedy’s top stars, as well as today’s brightest emerging talent, shine on its legendary stage.

Founder Jamie Masada, the driving force behind the Laugh Factory, is revered as a pioneer and innovator and is an iconic name on the comedy scene. He was and continues to be instrumental in launching the careers of many of today’s biggest comics. The New York Daily News called him the “Real King of Comedy.” His knowledge and expertise have made him the leading authority on all things comedy and his advice is highly regarded by the entertainment industry’s top power brokers.
