Streamer Netflix has announced that its latest comedy series Blockbuster will debut on November 3rd.

Starring Randall Park and Melissa Fumero, the 10-episode comedy are created by Vanessa Ramos, who also serves as showrunner and executive producer.

It features Park as Timmy Yoon, an analog dreamer in charge of the last operating Blockbuster Video in the United States, according to entertainment news website Variety. Timmy, alongside the rest of his employees, must work to remind their community that the local store can provide the human connection that big corporations can’t.

Fumero plays the role of Eliza Walker in the show alongside Tyler Alvarez as Carlos Herrera, Madeleine Arthur as Hannah Hadman, and Olga Merediz as Connie Serrano.

Recurring guest stars for the series include J.B. Smoove as Percy Scott and Kamaia Fairburn as Kayla Scott.

Once bitter rivals in the streaming service wars, Netflix and Blockbuster were almost business partners at one point in time. In 2000, Reed Hastings approached former Blockbuster CEO John Antioco and asked for $50 million to give away the company he founded — Netflix. Antioco, thinking that it was a “very small niche business,” ended the negotiations and didn’t buy Netflix, which at the time was a DVD mailing service.

21 years later, Netflix is currently valued at over $25 billion with over 214 million subscribers worldwide. Netflix can be accessed via the internet browser on computers, or via application software installed on smart TVs, set-top boxes connected to televisions, tablet computers, smartphones, digital media players, Blu-ray Disc players, video game consoles, and virtual reality headsets on the list of Netflix-compatible devices.

Blockbuster is produced by Universal Television.
