Ramy Hassan (Ramy Youssef) is having a crisis of faith in the Season 3 trailer of his eponymous Hulu series, premiering September 30.

The show’s return continues to chronicle the character’s journey of self-discovery as an Egyptian-American millennial who is questioning his Muslim faith and the existence of God across 10 episodes. As he abandons his spiritual journey, he instead dedicates himself to his and his uncle’s diamond business.

This season, his family appears to be on a similar path questioning their place in an ever-changing world, caught between who they want to be and who they really are. The Hassans will be forced to confront having lived a life dedicated to worldly concerns — and in some cases, lies.

The trailer also gives viewers a first look at guest star Bella Hadid, making her acting debut, as Lena. Hadid’s character is revealed to be the new girlfriend of Ramy’s buddy Steve (Steve Way), who he met on the dating app, Muslim Match.

Series stars also include Laith Nakli, Hiam Abbass, Amr Waked, May Calamawy, Dave Merheje, and Mohammed Amer.

Ramy is written, directed, executive-produced and created by star Ramy Youssef. Other executive producers include Adel Kamal, A24, Christopher Storer, Tyson Bidner, Amir Sulaiman, Jerrod Carmichael, co-creators Ari Katcher, and Ryan Welch as well as Kate Thulin. The series is produced by A24.
