Riffin w/ Griffin is an All Things Comedy weekly podcast where comedian/actor Erik Griffin gives sage advice, fun guest, and interesting discussions about anything and everything with some of your favorite celebrities, athletes, and fellow comedians.

In this week’s episode, Erik sits down with comedian and friend Dane Cook to discuss his brand new comedy special ABOVE IT ALL. Griffin also asked Cook if he could come by and shoot the podcast from the same spot and of course Dane was down for the cause.

Erik Griffin: Erik Griffin is a stand-up comedian, writer, and actor best known for playing Montez Walker on Comedy Central’s Workaholics. Griffin’s mother enrolled him in a stand-up comedy class at UCLA Extension when he expressed interest in becoming a comedian. The class was taught by the late Sandi C. Shore, daughter of The Comedy Store founders Sammy Shore and Mitzi Shore, and at the end, allowed students to perform in a showcase at The Comedy Store. He recorded a half-hour special for Comedy Central in 2013. Later that year, he released his first stand-up album, Technical Foul: Volume One. Erik can be heard weekly on his highly-regarded podcast entitled Riffin w/ Griffin.

Dane Cook: Dane Cook is an American standup comedian and film actor. As a standup comedian, he has a distinct style which can be likened to long-form story telling interspersed with multi meaning phrases, all delivered with a casual attitude. He credits his parents for his humorous side, inheriting from them eloquence and the ability to talk convincingly on anything. All he wants is to make the audience laugh and would go to any extent to do so. He could be funny, corny, and vulgar or just blabber like a retard, as long as it elicits laughter from the audience. Despite his popularity, many critics have come down heavily on him. They say that his humor is superficial, does not have any substance and even if it makes people laugh, it’s not really funny. They say that he is overrated and boringly predictictable. There have been allegations of plagiarism against him too, which have largely been ignored by him. Recently, he was embroiled in a controversy when he pulled out of a fundraiser for the victims of Boston Marathon attacks. Notwithstanding all the criticism, he is considered a tremendous performer with a large fan base.
