On November 2nd, Ari Shaffir will drop is next stand-up special on the world. Surf on over to his Youtube page and give the special Jew a watch. Shaffir has been attempting to record Jew for a while now, but a few things had sidetracked it.
While of course COVID had delayed a lot of people’s plans for, well, everything. Shaffir was knocked off course a few months earlier in 2020 with the death of Kobe Bryant. While it’s not worth digging up the story again, it forced him to cancel the special’s recording right before the world turned upside down.
The benefit of the delay will more than likely be obvious since it just allowed the comedian some more time to hone his jokes and flesh them out some more. The result of Shaffir’s effort should be abundantly clear in about a week’s time when he takes on religion and all the trappings that come with it.
The deal is, this is a dirty show. It’s not all offensive but definitely some parts are offensive. So don’t bring that one friend in your friend group who makes that tsk noise a lot. Just tell them you’re doing something else or your grandmother died or your grandmother killed somebody and you gotta be a character witness. Whatever. Just don’t bring them. But everybody else for sure come. Ari puts on a great show every year of all new material and he brings great openers. So, it’s just a really funny night of legit mainstream standup and you’re going to have a great time every time.
