Defiant Digital’s Cancel Court is an improv comedy courtroom show where two comedians battle head to head as attorneys and conduct a trial to determine if a celebrity should be “canceled”. Comedians will present their case before the judge and jury, who will give the final ruling based on the facts presented.
In this episode, one of his last appearances before his untimely passing, comedian Teddy Ray will attempt to convince a jury of his peers that when it comes to debating today’s hip hop/pop music, there’s no bigger star needed than Lil Nas X. Meanwhile, Ron Taylor wants to convince the jury that his music must be canceled immediately.
Teddy Ray: Ray was a regular on All Def Digital and Defiant Digital media channels and hosted Cali Kickback, a weekly podcast with friend and fellow comedian Lewis Belt. Teddy also produced a monthly high-profile stand-up comedy event with Belt entitled The Young O.G.s Comedy Show taking place regularly at the HaHa Comedy Club in North Hollywood, CA. His first two years as a comedian, Teddy Ray crushed enough stages to score his first booked TV gig on BET’s Comic View. He continued to make a name for himself through All Def Digital internet platform, where he is not only a fan favorite, but his presence in content surely provided a helping hand in the 4.5 million YouTube subscribers the channel currently sustains. Teddy has continued his crusade to becoming a comedy powerhouse by joining season 8 cast of MTV’s Wild N’ Out and showcasing his flavor on HBO’s All Def Comedy television series.
All within less than three years, Teddy swiftly gained a cult-like fan base on the internet and continued to make waves in the industry. Often you would find that he casually featured with legendary touring comedic acts such as Russell Peters, David Spade, or Katt Williams; and publicly admitted as a comic favorite of celebrity superstars such as Jamie Foxx and T-Pain. Teddy appeared on Comedy Central Colossal Clusterfest and most recently on Comedy Central Stand-Ups along with KevOnStage Studios Keep Your Distance comedy show.
