No new business venture or regime comes without its fair share of improvement ideas and considerations from inside and outside of the company, and purchasing a multi-billion dollar company is no exception.

After months of waffling, lawsuits, verbal mudslinging and the near miss of a full blown trial, Elon Musk now owns Twitter. On October 27th, Musk closed his $44 billion deal to buy the social media service, highlighted by bringing a kitchen sink into the company offices in San Francisco, California. It didn’t take long for the Tesla motors founder to make controversial remarks regarding future plans and ideas that he would like to execute under his ownership, including new leadership, job cuts and the pursuit of new ways to make money. Twitter employs more than 7,500 people and has had difficulties consistently growing its advertising-based business and attracting new users. The firings of the top company executives on October 27th were a sign that Mr. Musk intended to move swiftly.

Musk wasn’t the only person to voice his opinions, as many celebrities and influencers have took to their Twitter profiles to share what changes they would like to see happen on the social media service.

One of those recommendations would come from legendary comedian/actor Dane Cook.

On October 31st, the Cambridge, Massachusetts native would use his personal account to explain why Twitter would benefit greatly from the creation of Sarcasm Font and how he believed Musk was the perfect man to make that possible.

“Hey @elonmusk I’ve petitioned this for years but I think you’re finally the right person to make it happen. Please… create… a sarcasm font.” – @danecook

Sarcasm Font is a cursive style of font created by Apple’s Jonathan Ive in 2016. Users could enact with other users on online platforms by adding ‘/sarc/’ at the beginning and end of each sarcastic word, sentence or phrase.

Not one to shy away from any forms of conversation, Musk would surprisingly respond to Cook rejecting his request due to his lack of interest in sarcasm.

“I hate sarcasm so much you can’t believe it.”- @elonmusk replies to @danecook

The font rejection would not stop Cook from recommending other ideas to Musk as he would ask about new italics and emojis.

“I suggest backward italics. And maybe a sink emoji?”- @danecook
