One of your mother’s favorite podcasts recently released a new comedy special that will cause laughter throughout your household all summer long.
2 Moms 1 Mic is a half-hour stand-up comedy special starring comedians Kaela Crawford (Laugh After Dark on Amazon Prime) and Selina Ringel (Single Mother By Choice on HBO Max) as they hilariously dive into the trials and tribulations of Mom life.
Each episode they will talk about their progress in self-producing their special that was shot on SEPT 28TH at THE VIRGIL.
Kaela Crawford: Kaela tours the country as a feature act for the legendary Paul Rodriguez and has been performing stand up for seven years. She performs at the world-famous Comedy Store, Hollywood Improv, Laugh Factory and Ice House.
She is featured on Season 2 of Amazon Prime Video’s Laugh After Dark!
Her stand-up clips have millions of views on the Laugh Factory Instagram page. In 2017, she won “Burbank’s Funniest Female.” She was chosen as a finalist for the Laugh Factory’s “2018 Fresh Face”.
To top it off, she was a Semi-Finalist at the World Series of Comedy and a two-time winner of Next Comic Standing at the famous Haha Comedy Club. She offers audiences a refreshing female view on life.
Selina Ringel: Selina Ringel’s most recent feature film which she wrote, produced and stars in, SINGLE MOTHER BY CHOICE , is streaming on HBOMax. It’s a hybrid narrative film with doc elements that tracked her actual pregnancy in real time during the 2020 pandemic. She also directed a short documentary A VIABLE LIFE , that tracks the making of this film and how the pandemic changed her feature and her life which is also streaming on HBOMax. She is an award winning Writer, Producer & Comedian.
Selina is Mexican/American and grew up in Guadalajara, Mexico. She is also Jewish.
She has collaborated with incredible talent including Issa Rae ( INSECURE) , Lee Aronsohn ( TWO AND A HALF MEN), Salvador Paskowitz ( AGE OF ADELINE). Selina was recently selected as one of twenty upcoming emerging Latino creators for the Tomorrow’s Filmmakers Today program sponsored by HBO & The Academy. Her first feature film THE BEST PEOPLE which she wrote & produced was picked up by Samuel Goldwyn Films and got distributed worldwide, in the U.S. it is now available on Amazon Prime & Tubi.
THE BEST PEOPLE also won the Special Jury Award for BEST COMEDY feature at WorldFest Houston and was the Closing Night film at Dances with Films. Selina also wrote, produced & starred in an eight episode comedy series called TUNING IN which is also now available on Amazon Prime. Selina is in the Groundlings program, she performs stand up regularly at clubs including the Improv, The Ice House and The Comedy Store. Her feature film screenplay #LIKEME was recognized by many script competitions including The Teen Movie Contest by Issa Rae & Paul Feig – Top 4 FINALIST, The Black List & Women in Film Competition – FINALIST and others. Selina graduated with a Masters in Fine Arts from the Producing program at the AFI Conservatory in 2014.
She is fluent in English, Spanish, French and Italian. She and her husband run their own production company, TWO HANDS PRODUCTIONS.
