College of Charleston graduate and rising comedian Evan Berke has just unveiled his debut stand-up comedy specialTwice Removed

Filmed at Nashville’s Third Coast Comedy Club, and features 54 minutes of comedic material centered around growing up Jewish in the South. The material was recorded across two sold-out shows covers memories taken directly from Berke’s life. This includes his misadventures en route to the BET Hip-Hop Awards, his thoughts on the possibility of becoming a father, and a core memory of the near-death experience at 17 that almost took his left hand, and also managed to start his comedy career.

Evan Berke: Evan Berke started his comedy career at 18-years-old while he was a freshman at the College of Charleston in Charleston, SC. The Atlanta, GA native first took stage at the notorious Upper Deck Tavern on King Street.

During his time in Charleston, Berke’s relationship with comedy evolved from a small stage hobby to being totally immersed in the local communities. Berke was the resident Director of Comedy at the JAIL BREAK Music & Arts Festival. He performed at the Charleston Comedy FestivalPiccolo Spoleto Festival, and was a finalist in the Charleston Standup Comedy Competition. He graduated from CofC with a degree in Media Communications in 2013.
 
From 2014-2017, Berke worked at Brunswick Group and MerchantCantos.  Here, he worked alongside the brightest minds in the industry and gained extensive corporate communications experience.

Berke was also an Associate Producer at TMZ in New York, Atlanta & Los Angeles, where he produced segments and interviewed celebrities/public figures. His portfolio can be viewed here
 
Throughout his comedy career, Berke has showcased at legendary clubs around the country including Gotham and Comic Strip in New York, The Comedy Store and Ice House in Los Angeles, and Jimmy Kimmel’s Comedy Club in Las Vegas to name a few. Berke has become a regular on the nation-wide comedy festival circuit, most recently performing at the Charleston Comedy Festival, Cleveland Comedy Festival, and Back Hand and West End Comedy Festivals in Atlanta. In addition to studying at The Second City in Chicago and Upright Citizens Brigade in New York City, Berke continues to produce comedy tours and showcases featuring the best comedians in the country. 
 
Berke currently resides in Nashville, TN where he teaches Standup Comedy 101 at Third Coast Comedy Club. Evan’s debut comedy album “Twice Removed” debuted #1 on the iTunes Comedy Charts in June 2023, and it can be found here.
