Russell Brand’s upcoming live shows have all been postponed following allegations of rape and sexual assault.

“We are postponing these few remaining addiction charity fundraiser shows, we don’t like doing it – but we know you’ll understand,” said a one-line statement from the promoters of Brand’s Bipolarisation tour in the past few minutes.

Brand was due to perform tomorrow at the Theatre Royal Windsor, with further dates in Wolverhampton and Plymouth.

Brand’s management and bosses at the Theatre Royal had spent this morning deciding whether to proceed with tonight’s show. A Theatre Royal statement said it will be “offering ticket refunds in line with our Terms & Conditions of sale.”

Brand performed on Saturday in Wembley just a few hours after allegations of rape and sexual assault from four women were published by The Times, Sunday Times and Channel 4. He was given a standing ovation and performed to around 2,000 people. He was reported to have told the Wembley crowd: “I love you. I love you. Thank you. There’s some things I cannot talk about and hopefully, you appreciate that I’m gonna give you everything I’ve got.”

On Saturday, Brand preemptively denied the “litany” of allegations about his criminal behavior, which were published several hours later and included allegations of rape and sexual assault. He denies all claims and says all relationships were consensual. In the past hour, the Met Police has confirmed that it received a “report of sexual assault” against him from 2003.
