Bradley Cooper would gladly star in a fourth Hangover movie.

Speaking with David Remnick on The New Yorker Radio Hour podcast, via Variety, Cooper was asked if he’d ever be willing to star in another comedy movie, whether it be another Hangover sequel or something else entirely.

“I would probably do Hangover 4 in an instant,” Cooper said. “Just because I love Todd [Phillips], I love Zach [Galifianakis], I love Ed [Helms] so much, I probably would.”

Cooper, however, also noted that The Hangover 4 probably won’t be happening anytime in the near future, as he said, “I don’t think Todd’s ever going to do that.”

Cooper starred alongside Helms, Galifianakis, and Justin Bartha in 2009’s The Hangover, which was directed by Phillips. The movie quickly became a huge financial success, bringing in $469.3 million at the worldwide box office off of a budget of $35 million.

The Hangover was followed by two sequels, 2011’s The Hangover Part II and 2013’s The Hangover Part III.

Since then, Cooper has gone on to star in movies such as 2013’s American Hustle, 2014’s American Sniper, 2021’s Licorice Pizza, and more. He additionally voices the character of Rocket Raccoon in the MCU.

Additionally, Cooper made his feature film directorial debut in 2018 with A Star Is Born (which he also starred in). His next movie, Maestro, is a biography examining the life of Leonard Bernstein. Hitting Netflix on December 20, 2023, Maestro also stars Carey Mulligan, Matt Bomer, Maya Hawke, and Sarah Silverman.

Phillips, meanwhile, went on to make 2016’s War Dogs with Jonah Hill and Miles Teller following The Hangover Part III before he then made Joker in 2019 for DC Films and Warner Bros. Pictures. He’s now working on a sequel to Joker, Joker: Folie á Deux, that is scheduled to release in United States theaters on October 4, 2024.
