Lauren Compton: The Dallas native has amassed quite the following across all forms of social media with her highly-entertaining content, although her IG bio recommends that you “don’t show your mom.” Actress and standup comedian known for appearing on Showtime’s I’m Dying Up Here and HBO’s Here, Now. She also earned a leading role in the Justin Lin feature film HELP. Compton is a regular performer at various high-profile comedy clubs, including Comedy Mothership and Hollywood Improv.
This week, Compton’s welcomes not one, but two guests! Lauren is joined by Rayna Greenberg and Ashley Hesseltine, the hosts of the podcast Girls Gotta Eat.
They open the show talking one-night stands, meeting parents for the first time, and attractions to guys who look like bouncers. Rayna and Ashley reveal their biggest icks, how to escape bad dates, the unspoken rules of who pays for the first date, and even using Taskrabbit to find dates! Ashley Hesselstine: Stand-up comedian, writer, and founder of @brosbeingbasic + @fashiondads_. Hobbies include: group texting, wine “tasting”, taco eating, dancing, hanging with her dog and petting every other dog she sees. Turn-ons: sense of humor, passion for ‘90s hip-hop. Turn-offs: cheapness, angry drunks. I enjoy candlelit pizza dinners, long walks around the East Village, and GUYS WHO HAVE THEIR SHIT TOGETHER (sorry for yelling).
