HBO has released the trailer for the upcoming comedy special Leo Reich: Literally Who Cares?!, set to debut on Dec. 16th.

Literally Who Cares?! stars comedian and writer Leo Reich in his HBO comedy special debut. The trailer shows off Reich’s brand of humor: “Sex is really where I come into my own as an actor,” he says.

He also teases that the show will feature “21st century cynicism, the late-capitalist corruption of the queer aesthetic — I’m kidding, can you imagine?”

The special’s official description reads, “Hot. Young. Cool. Fresh. Ripped. Hilarious. Groundbreaking. Avant-garde. These are just some of the words that comedian and writer Leo Reich uses to describe himself. In his first HBO comedy special, this self-diagnosed important young mind faces the swirling uncertainty of our collective future, asking the big questions, such as: ‘Is this helping?’, ‘Am I hot?’, and ‘No offense guys but literally what is going on?’”

The description continues, “Treading the line between hilarious stand-up and humorless performance art, ‘Leo Reich: Literally Who Cares?!‘ blends songs, anecdotes, and anxious non-sequiturs in a valiant attempt to raise awareness about important social and political causes… or something.”

Reich’s breakout show was nominated for Best Newcomer at the 2022 Dave Comedy Awards and Most Outstanding Show at the 2023 Melbourne International Comedy Festival. He also took the act to an Off-Broadway stage in New York and performed a sold-out show at EartH.

Reich has also made television appearances on shows including “Friday Night Live,” “Late Night Mash” and “Jonathan Ross Comedy Club.”

The special is written, executive produced, and performed by Reich and directed by Thomas Hardiman. Bríd Kirby and Chris Quaile are producers; A24 executive produces. The songs in the special are composed by Toby Marlow.
