Torrei Hart, Kevin Hart‘s ex-wife, announced she will join Katt Williams on the road for his Dark Matter Tour. On Monday (Jan. 8), Hart took to Instagram to share the news with her followers.
The post included two pictures and a snippet from Katt’s viral Club Shay Shay interview. The pictures featured Hart posing with Williams and a flyer for the upcoming tour. In the third slide, Katt tells Shannon Sharpe that “he only puts on comedians that are funnier” than him.
“#Charlotte #Orlando #Tampa, come see me live with my good friend @kattwilliams on the Dark Matters tour. #TorreiHart #Kattwilliams Charlotte 1/27 Bojangles Coliseum, Orlando 2/2 Addition Financial Arena, Tampa 2/3 Yuengling Center. More dates coming soon,” she captioned her layered post.
The post garnered mixed reactions and comments after it was uploaded. However, some fans were more shocked to see Tiffany Haddish congratulating Torrei in the comment section. “Girl stop tap dancing for Kevin,” one account responded to Haddish. “You literally keep shading Katt so why the congratulations? Unfunny a**.”
Kevin and Torrei Hart got married in 2003. The college sweethearts would then call it quits in 2011 after Kevin’s infedelity. The Jumanji actor then remarried in 2016 to Eniko Parrish.
As for Katt and Kev’s rocky history, their issues made waves in 2018. When visiting Frank and Wanda’s Morning Show, Katt questioned Tiffany Haddish’s comedic chops. During that time, Williams took direct shots at Tiffany’s skill and her decision to seemingly not do a comedy tour. “You can’t tell me your favorite Tiffany Haddish joke. Why? Because she ain’t done a tour yet,” he said.
Kevin later appeared on The Breakfast Club to defend his “baby sister.” He called out Katt for a perceived bitterness and questioned his intentions. “You had the shot! You were set up to be the star,” Hart said. “You didn’t show up to work! You f**ked off promo shoots! You f**ked off promo trips. You became a risk to the studios, which is why the studio stopped f**king with you… I have time to not be humble today. I have time to fact-check everything he said. Because the world of Katt Williams is a fictional world.”
The School Dance actor would then rehash the issues on Club Shay Shay, calling Hart an “industry plant.” Hart fired back in a post promoting his new movie, LIFT, telling him to let his anger go.
