How did you discover your passion for comedy:
I’ve always had it. But I rediscover it every time I’m onstage again.
What do you remember most about your first time performing stand-up comedy:
Everyone booed and then our class president escorted me off of the stage.
How would you describe your comedic style:
Dark
Describe your process for comedic writing:
I ruminate about all the sad things in my life, and eventually some of it.

Vibrant and unique. Come visit.
How do you judge success in the world of comedy:
Sometimes success is just getting out of bed to do an open mic, sometimes it’s getting gas money, sometimes it’s just the friends you met along the way.

What’s been your most memorable moment in comedy:
I try not to remember a lot of it. I wish the good moments were more memorable.
What have you learned most from your failures in comedy:
That I still have a lot more to learn.
How do people react toward you when they realize that you can make people laugh:
Usually, hopefully, they are laughing as well.
Describe building a career in stand-up comedy:
Building a career in stand-up comedy means you have to build a career in several other things as well.
If you could change one thing in the world of comedy, what would it be:
The world of comedy could be more worldly. There’s always space for new unique voices.
Best advice you’ve ever received from a comedian:
Put the mic closer to your mouth, nobody can hear you.
If you were releasing a comedy special this week, what would it be called:
I’d just call it “Comrade Tripp”, I wouldn’t have enough time to come up with a better title.
Funniest encounter you’ve ever had with a celebrity:
I’ve never encountered a celebrity before, they’re just people and I don’t like encountering people.
Weirdest place you’ve ever performed any form of comedy:
Public Park, between the trash and recycling.

Everywhere.

Keep going, even if you stop, you can still keep going.
What are your thoughts on the future of comedy:
I think comedy has a future.

Family Matters, Urkel goes back in time to kill Thomas Jefferson.
If you could choose ONE comedy club and THREE comedians to perform with on your perfect comedy show, how would it go:
I’d pick the three I listed earlier, they would do well.
