Apple TV has released a trailer for STEVE! (martin), a new documentary about the iconic comedian and actor.
The STEVE! (martin) trailer previews a brand-new documentary coming to Apple TV+ in March 2024.
The documentary will be split into two different parts: a “then” portion following the rise of Martin’s career and a “now” segment about his current projects.
STEVE! (martin) is directed by Morgan Neville, who won the Academy Awards for Best Documentary Feature in 2014 for 20 Feet from Stardom. Neville also made 2015’s Best of Enemies: Buckley vs. Vidal, 2018’s Won’t You Be My Neighbor?, 2021’s Roadrunner: A Film About Anthony Bourdain, and more.
“I’ve been a fan of Steve’s since I was a 10-year-old memorizing his comedy albums,” Neville said via People, who exclusively debuted the trailer. “I have always followed his career, but making this film opened up so many more sides of Steve to me.
He added, ”Steve said he wanted to make this film because it was time, and I think that’s true. We were also able to find incredible materials of Steve’s entire career, from standup through the movies, that have never been seen.”
STEVE! (martin) arrives on Apple TV+ on March 29, 2024.
