Marc Maron Joins Owen Wilson’s Golf Comedy Series At Apple

Marc Maron is returning to the small screen in a new series.

Best known as a TV actor for his work on Maron and Glow, Maron’s joining the cast of an upcoming golf series, starring Owen Wilson.

In the untitled series – which also stars Pete Dager – Wilson plays Pryce Cahill, who is “an over-the-hill, ex-pro golfer whose career was derailed prematurely 20 years ago. After he gets fired from his job at an Indiana sporting goods store and his wife walks out on him, Pryce hedges his bets entirely on a troubled 17-year-old golf phenom (Dager).”

Maron is set to play Mitts, who is Pryce’s former caddy and best friend. The series has been given a 10-episode order by Apple TV+ and was created by Jason Keller. With a pretty stacked cast, we look forward to hearing more about the series soon!

He’s had recent roles in the films JOKER, SPENCER CONFIDENTIAL, SWORD OF TRUST, STARDUST, the 2021 Aretha Franklin biopic, RESPECT, alongside Jennifer Hudson and Dreamworks animated feature THE BAD GUYS co-starring Sam Rockwell.

Marc’s stand-up special “MORE LATER” (2015) aired on Epix and his specials “THINKY PAIN” (2013), “TOO REAL” (2017) and 2020’s “END TIMES FUN”, which was nominated for a 2021 Critics’ Choice Award, are currently streaming on Netflix.
