How did you discover your passion for comedy:
Watched “ The Comedian” with Seinfeld and Orny Adams and was hooked

What do you remember most about your first time performing stand-up comedy:
I took my glasses off before I performed and bombed at Rooster T. Feathers in Sunnyvale, CA.

How would you describe your comedic style:
High energy and observational comedy with an ADHD twist.

Describe your process for comedic writing:
I never write in a notebook, it’s all in my phone. I observe literally everything around me and make it my own.

Describe the comedy scene in your area:
I live in South Florida, it’s ok. Thanks to the Don’t Tell Comedy family giving me my fix when I’m in town from the road.

How do you judge success in the world of comedy:
When you sell a lot of merch after lol. I kid, but when people find you after the show through social media and let’s you know how much they loved your act.

Who are some of your comedic peers that you enjoy watching perform or inspire you personally and professionally:
I love watching Shane Gillis, his comedy is right up my ally.

What’s been your most memorable moment in comedy:
I got a standing ovation at Gotham before I tested for SNL in 2014 and opening for Bad Friends with Andrew Santino and Bobby Lee on the road.

What have you learned most from your failures in comedy:
To keep going and to be a service to the young comics coming up, explain what to do and not to do.

How do people react toward you when they realize that you can make people laugh:
The usual, the say “Tell me a joke”… It comes with the territory but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Describe building a career in stand-up comedy:
Work at a comedy club asap. I answered phones at the comedy store and learned all the ins and out’s of this profession, from signing up for the potluck to getting passed at The Comedy Store.

If you could change one thing in the world of comedy, what would it be:
The backstabbing, but I guess that comes with any profession.

Best advice you’ve ever received from a comedian:
Do what makes you laugh, cause there will be people out there that think the way you do. Your audience will find you.

If you were releasing a comedy special this week, what would it be called:
“GUY FRIENDS”

Funniest encounter you’ve ever had with a celebrity:
I once congratulated Ron G for hosting the BET Awards, and it was Kevin Hart who hosted it; I never felt dumber.

Weirdest place you’ve ever performed any form of comedy:
At a jail, and bombed and the inmates went back to their cells. I bombed so badly that guys decided their jail cells were a better option than my stand-up.

A Brady Matthews Fun Fact:
Not technically funny, but I’m a professional artist. I do murals and commission paintings.

Where would you like your laughs to take you:
Hit sports/comedy podcast. Get back to possibly acting in LA, but see where the wind blows.

What would you tell a potential comedian if they ask you how they can own the laughs:
Take your time and take chances. Don’t be afraid to bomb.

What are your thoughts on the future of comedy:
I feel good about it, I think people are sick of the woke comedy and hopefully we can go back to saying whatever we want and not get in trouble.

If you could write an episode for ONE classic TV sitcom, which show would it be:
I write a episode for always sunny and make it where the team turns the bar in to a male strip club for a week just to see what happens.

If you could choose ONE comedy club and THREE comedians to perform with on your perfect comedy show, how would it go:
Zanies in Chicago on Wells. I’d headline and be joined by Shane Gillis, with Tony Hinchcliffe hosting.

What’s next for you:
I am currently working on a couple of different podcasts: The Mouth Piece with Brady Matthews, Only in Dade Presents The Water Cooler, and a reality show pilot.

Why should a person always laugh at life:
Cause at the end of the day, laughter is all we got.
