Comedian Ralph Barbosa has been tapped to host Netflix Is a Joke Fest latest Introducing… comedy series, an elite showcase of up-and-coming comedic talent making their first impressions on a worldwide platform as part of North America’s biggest comedy festival.

Last fall, Barbosa saw his debut Netflix special Ralph Barbosa: Cowabunga spend two weeks on the streamer’s Top 10 chart, debuting at #3. Previously, the comic teamed with Gwen La Roka on the Max comedy special, Entre Nos: The Winners 3, additionally seeing his set for the digital series Comedy Central Stand-Up Featuring rack up millions of views. Currently, Ralph is impressing millions across the country on his “Super Cool Ass Tour.”

In the latest episode, Ralph introduces the comedy masses to one of the best stand-up comedians traveling the U.S. Glorelys Mora. She covers dating refurbished men, the aunt no one likes, crypto boyfriends, and more.

Glorelys Mora: Glorelys Mora is a proud Bilingual (English/Spanish) Dominican American stand-up comedian, born and raised in Uptown, NY, who has appeared on HBO, VICE TV, FUSE TV, TV ONE, CLEO TV (w/ Chef JJ), E! FASHION POLICE (w/ the late Joan Rivers), and more.

Stand-Up comedy has afforded her the opportunity to perform and produce comedy shows in Hawaii, San Francisco, Miami, Los Angeles, the Dominican Republic, and more. When she’s not on stage she’s guest-starring in sketches for PERO LIKE, LATINO REBELS, EOP COMEDY, BOUNCE TV, and BEING LATINO. Most recently, she was featured in a Wendy’s advertisement and in a national commercial for SOMOS HEALTH currently airing on Univision and Telemundo.

Prior to the pandemic, she collaborated with the creators of, “Black Card Revoked,” to write the card game, “Latino Card Revoked,” which sold over 20,000 units in its launch year. The card game captures cultural moments, history, and jokes that are inclusive of all Latinx experiences from the West Coast to the East Coast, and the Caribbean. Following the release of the card game, she was invited to open for Yvonne Orji (Insecure, HBO) on the “Lagos to Laurels” tour – where Glorelys performed for over 2,000 people at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center and had the crowd LOLing all night long! In 2021, she co-founded Morir Soñando with long-time comedy collaborator and friend Sasha Merci (in partnership with the comedy club Stand Up NY); Morir Soñando is a bicoastal Dominican Comedy Party Experience that celebrates heritage but also gives a platform to rising POC comedians.

Her hard work continues to pay off, she’s collaborated on campaigns with brands like REMY MARTIN, COURVOISIER, NIKE, FOOT LOCKER (WASHINGTON HEIGHTS), PA’LANTE (A BLACK LADY SKETCH SHOW PROMO) and has been acknowledged by publications such as AIN’T I LATINA, REFINERY29, TEEN VOGUE, and more.

You can catch her regularly at THE STAND making history as one of the Latina hosts at a major NYC comedy club. Her upcoming projects include writing and shooting a short about her Sweet 16, launching a podcast, writing a pilot, and working on Amara La Negra’s new TV show via FUSE TV.
