For over three decades, New York Comedy Club has been delivering the quintessential stand-up comedy experience in the heart of the nation’s comedy scene: a comic, a mic, a brick wall, and a room packed full of fans (plus, who can’t forget the venue’s iconic neon sign that sits on its signature brick wall?).

To celebrate 35 years of serving the New York comedy community, New York Comedy Club is set to open its newest location this Summer in the Upper West Side.

The new Upper West Side club will follow its predecessor as a 140-seat venue located on 78th & Broadway (236 W 78th St, New York, NY 10024), joining the New York Comedy Club family as its fourth location alongside its existing clubs in Midtown, East Village, & Stamford, CT.

“We’re thrilled to announce that New York Comedy Club will be opening a third Manhattan venue this summer,” says club co-owner Emilio Savone. “And we’re doing it on the club’s 35th anniversary!”

“We hope to announce a Grand Opening date soon, so please stay tuned,” adds club co-owner E Scott Lindner. “The New York comedy scene continues to grow, and we are honored to be growing with it!”

Originally opening in 1989 with its Midtown location, the mainstay comedy club has since opened two additional venues with its East Village location in 2018 followed by the Stamford, CT location this past year. Since the beginning, the mecca comedy venue has made itself known for its dedication to its talent & biggest names in comedy dropping in at any given show. Among the names who’ve graced this stage include Mark Normand, Pete Davidson, Sarah Silverman, Bill Burr, Chris Rock, Ronny Chieng, Hasan Minhaj, Kevin Hart, Tracy Morgan, Chris Distefano & more!

Stay tuned for the latest details on the venue’s official grand opening later this summer!
