J.P. McDade: In Brooklyn is the debut comedy special from the comedian whose name is in the title. Performed at The Bell House, this collection of material represents more than ten years of writing and performing comedy in New York City.
This set showcases McDade’s signature dry observations, damp absurdities, and sopping wet impersonations. J.P. has been seen all over the country as a feature act for Stavros Halkias, and this special is a production of Stavvy Baby Enterprises.
In 2016 J.P. performed on New Faces: Unrepped at the Just For Laughs festival in Montreal. He was named a finalist in New York’s Funniest 2017 and made his television debut that same year on Comedy Central’s Roast Battle II, filmed at the Comedy Cellar in New York. McDade has also appeared on two episodes of truTV’s Comedy Knockout.
As a writer, J.P. has worked on season 3 of Comedy Knockout, Sports Illustrated’s Sportsperson of the Year Awards, and as a contributing writer for the Comedy Central Roast of Alec Baldwin.
