In her debut comedy special titled Weird Enough, stand-up comedian Lori Palminteri talks about drug and alcohol use, her neurosis and mental problems, family and upbringing, dating, friendships, topical stuff, being an artist, not wanting kids, and surfing.

The common thread of tightly written jokes is it’s just a dark and clever take on things. This is how her brain works.

Lori Palminteri: Lori Palminteri loves surfing waves, jumping off cliffs, and the most dangerous sport of all: stand-up comedy. She started performing in college and dreamed of the day she could write sarcastic, violent action movies and comedic sitcoms. A decade later, this surfer girl is a regular of the NYC comedy scene, festivals, and the road. She’s appeared on “Live at Gotham,” “This Week at The Cellar,” and “Louie.” She is a contributing writer for Gutfeld!, United Comedy Stations, and has written original sitcom pilots and features. Her wholesome “girl next door” looks and charm belie her quirky, often edgy style. Through Lori’s lens, life is a ride, whether we’re in the club or on top of a wave.
