Comedy Gives Back, the safety net of the comedy community dedicated to supporting comedians’ mental health and financial stability, is thrilled to announce Comedy Gives Back’s Laugh Aid Best of the Fest 2024 at Gotham Comedy Club on Thursday, November 14th, as part of The New York Comedy Festival.
The New York Comedy Festival features the best comedians, performing a variety of shows at NYC venues across all five boroughs, and Comedy Gives Back’s Laugh Aid distills the best of the fest into a single night of laughing for good.
So far the lineup includes SNL’s first out Black female queer cast member Punkie Johnson, The New York Times-lauded actress, comedian and podcast host Liza Treyger, and more to be announced with surprise drop-ins expected.

Proceeds from Comedy Gives Back’s Laugh Aid will directly benefit the programs and resources of Comedy Gives Back. Comedy Gives Back has long been committed to addressing the unique challenges faced by comedians, including mental health struggles, physical health and financial instability. Through various initiatives, including therapy grants, financial assistance programs, recovery meetings, and educational workshops, Comedy Gives Back is ensuring comedians at all stages of their career have the support they need so that they know they are not alone.

On Wednesday, Nov. 13th from 2-4pm, Comedy Gives Back is hosting a Lunch & Learn gathering at Gotham Comedy Club and inviting New York-based comedians to learn more about the programs & resources for which they are eligible.
