This trio enjoys laughing, living in Southern California, and being BROWN.
Dogs of Browntown is a weekly podcast hosted by stand-up comedians Saul Trujillo, Hormoz Rashidi, and Joelberg Joel Jimenez.
Enjoy amazing conversations with Saul, Hormoz, and Joel alongside some of their favorite hilarious comics, writers, content creators, and artists. They discuss various topics, including current events, out-of-this-world life theories, and, of course, all things stand-up comedy.
Saul Trujillo: Saul Trujillo is a child-like man ready to light up any room with his awkward energy. Growing up in the city of Stockton, CA wasn’t easy, but it gave him the thick skin needed for any situation on and off the stage. The winner of 2018 Sacramento Comedy Competition uses his obscure observations on his own life that will keep you scratching your head and laughing at the same time. He has done Stand-up comedy all over California, Arizona, Montana, Washington, and Oregon. Saul is ready to do comedy anywhere.
Hormoz Rashidi: Hormoz was born in Iran & grew up in California. He wasted his time obtaining a B.A. in Poli Sci at UC Berkeley and after spending a couple years in Washington DC he quit his job and moved to New York to be a stand up comic. They say if you can make it in New York you can make it anywhere. Well after a couple of years Hormoz moved to Los Angeles where he now performs stand-up in front of dozens of people, writes funny stuff and makes his family very proud.
Joel Jimenez: Joel Jimenez is a stand-up comedian, musician and a native of Northeast Los Angeles. For years he was the drummer for the #1 live podcast in the world, Kill Tony. These days you can find him at the World Famous Comedy Store, in regular rotation on some of LA’s top comedy podcasts, a co-host on both the Dogs of Brown Town and Lesser Known Characters podcasts, as well as the drummer for the punk rock band Mad Peaceful.
On this episode, comedian Xavier Campos stops by to chop it up with Saul and Hormoz. They talk about the times Xavier found himself at Diddy’s Hollywood parties; how much fun was had at this year’s Skanksfest; and also how Raiders Nation is the poorest fan base in all of sports.
