Jon Stewart is sticking around.

The comedian has extended his deal to remain as host of The Daily Show through the end of 2025. It means that Stewart will be behind the desk to poke fun at the next President either Kamala Harris or Donald Trump.

The move is not a huge surprise given how popular Stewart’s run has been, giving the Comedy Central show a shot in the arm in terms of ratings as well as cultural capital. Stewart had previously said he would host through the election.

Coming ninth months after he returned to hosting duties, Stewart will remain on Monday nights with Ronny Chieng, Jordan Klepper, Michael Kosta and Desi Lydic handling the other nights of the week.

“I’ve truly enjoyed being back working with the incredible team at The Daily Show and Comedy Central. I was really hoping they’d allow me to do every other Monday, but I’ll just have to suck it up…,” said Jon Stewart.

Stewart will continue as executive producer alongside showrunner and executive producer Jen Flanz and Stewart’s long-time manager, James “Baby Doll” Dixon.

It also comes after The Daily Show won the late-night Emmy in September, its second in two years.

“Jon’s incisive intellect and sharp wit make him one of the most important voices in political and cultural commentary today,” added Chris McCarthy, Paramount Global Co-CEO and President/CEO, Showtime & MTV Entertainment Studios.  “His ability to cut through the noise and deliver clear-eyed insights is exactly what we need which is why we are thrilled to have him leading The Daily Show for another year.”
