Lesser Known Characters is a weekly podcast hosted by Shapel Lacey and Joel Jimenez as they go on a journey with each guest, learning about their lives through their musical choices. They ask everything from songs guests play in their car to the songs they play at the gym, songs that remind them of love, sadness, youth and more. 

On this week’s episode, Shapel’s ghostwriter finally emerges and announces himself. From Cheerleading to Life with three dads Ramsey has seen it all. Jokes aside Ramsey shares his memories playing in a band. They discuss what Marshmello really looks like and if he performs with body doubles. And Shane Gillis lead an emo band.

Ramsey Badawi: Ramsey Badawi is a stand up comedian, writer, and podcaster living in Los Angeles.

The son of two Palestinian refugees, Ramsey was raised a Muslim in Southern California. He briefly lived in East Jerusalem. In 2013, Ramsey landed a job at a major political consulting firm; however, he was unfulfilled by the experience, so he quit and began pursuing comedy full-time. His stand up draws from these unique life experiences.

You can see Ramsey on popular shows in the greater Los Angeles area such as Comedy Juice and The Roast Battle. He regularly performs at colleges and notable venues such as the Madhouse Comedy Club, American Comedy Company, and both Orange County Improvs.
In 2015, Ramsey was selected as a finalist for “Comic of the Year” at the first ever Politicon.
