After a brief partnership with Prime Video for his 2023 special Hello World, Nate Bargatze is making a grand return to Netflix in a new deal for his next two stand-up comedy specials.
The first of these specials, Your Friend, Nate Bargatze, premieres globally on Netflix December 24th, 2024 followed by the second special premiering in 2025 or beyond.
The Nashville-based comedian has been on quite a roll this year with his impressive feats as of late. Among those include the comic making a triumphant return to Saturday Night Live this past weekend (hosting for the second time almost exactly a year a part since his debut), being inducted into the advisory board at the National Comedy Center, announcing his first book to be published next year, and expanding his Nateland empire with the expansion of his podcast network along with his Nateland Company Banner.
In his return to Netflix with Your Friend, Nate Bargatze, he brings “his humor to discuss wanting a second dog, how much pizza to order for guys night, his wife being the responsible one, and more.” Your Friend marks Bargatze’s third special for the streamer following 2021’s The Greatest Average American & 2019’s The Tennessee Kid.
The new hour was taped this past April at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, AZ as part of his in demand Be Funny Tour. Directing is Ryan Polito along with Bargatze, John Irwin, Alex Murray, & Tim Sarkes serving as executive producers.
Shortly before premiering the anticipated new special, Bargatze will be teaming with SNL creator & executive producer Lorne Michaels & CBS on a new holiday variety special set to air this December.
Catch the new special on Netflix beginning December 24th, 2024.
