On the heels of her critically acclaimed new one-woman show turned Netflix special, Death, Let Me Do My Special, comedian & actress Rachel Bloom has announced her return to network TV with her newest series in development at ABC: Do You Want Kids?.
And joining the Crazy Ex-Girlfriend star is her husband & fellow film & TV writer Dan Gregor with Modern Family showrunner & TV legend Steve Levitan executive producing.
According to Deadline, the new single-camera & half-hour comedy series follows “a husband and wife who in one universe have a baby and the other do not, and the many ways that huge decision alters their lives.”
Bloom & Gregor previously worked together on the Emmy award-winning series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, where Gregor was a writer-producer. Additionally, Gregor wrote on the hit CBS series How I Met Your Mother & on the film side most recently co-wrote Chip ‘N Dale: Rescue Rangers for Disney+ & the upcoming Naked Gun reboot starring Liam Neeson coming out next year from Paramount.
Bloom & Levitan previously worked together on the Hulu comedy series Reboot. And currently, Levitan is the executive producer of the hit Netflix comedy series Nobody Wants This.
