The first trailer for The Studio sets an Apple TV+ premiere date for the upcoming Seth Rogen comedy series.
The Studio is a new 10-episode, half-hour comedy show that Rogen wrote, directed, and executive produced alongside Evan Goldberg. Rogen also stars in the show with Catherine O’Hara, Kathryn Hahn, Ike Barinholtz, Chase Sui Wonders, Bryan Cranston, Keyla Monterroso Mejia, and Dewayne Perkins.
The first two episodes of The Studio will premiere on Apple TV+ on March 26, 2025. New episodes will continue to drop on Wednesdays through May 21, 2025.
“In The Studio, Rogen stars as the newly appointed head of a movie studio, Continental Studios,” the synopsis for the series reads. “Desperate for the approval of celebrities, he and his team of executives at Continental Studios must juggle corporate demands with creative ambitions as they try to keep movies alive and relevant.”
In addition to the aforementioned cast, The Studio trailer features appearances from Martin Scorsese, Zoë Kravitz, Zac Efron, Charlize Theron, Anthony Mackie, and more.
The series is created by Rogen, Goldberg, Frida Perez, Peter Huyck, and Alex Gregory. Point Grey Pictures’ James Weaver, Alex McAtee, and Josh Fagen executive produce the series with Rogen and Goldberg.
Rogen has worked with Apple TV+ before. He also stars in and executive produces Platonic, a comedy series created by Francesca Delbanco and Nicholas Stoller that premiered on the streaming platform in May 2023. Rogen plays a character named Will in the show, while the case also includes Rose Byrne as Sylvia, Luke Macfarlane as Charlie, Tre Hale as Andy, Andrew Lopez as Reggie, and Carla Gallo as Kate. The show was renewed for a second season in December 2023, though a premiere date has not yet been set.
