Jamie Foxx is set to speak about his 2023 hospitalization in his upcoming Netflix stand-up comedy special.
Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was will launch on the streamer on December 10, and as you can see in a trailer for the show, the comedian is addressing rumors that he “literally died” or was a “clone”.
“I’m back and I’m so glad to be here,” he says in the clip.
Foxx has yet to publicly address what really happened when he was rushed to hospital in April 2023 so it will be interesting to see what he’s willing to reveal in the show.
The special is produced by Done + Dusted and Foxxhole with Hamish Hamilton directing. Hamilton and Foxx exec produce alongside Marcus King, Datari Turner, James Longman, Raj Kapoor and Katy Mullan.
It comes ahead of the launch of Back in Action, the action film that Foxx stars in alongside Cameron Diaz, where they play a couple of former CIA spies pulled back into the game, that premieres on January 17.
