The Second City New York closes out the year with the hilarious Emmy-nominated Roy Wood Jr. who will hit the Mainstage at 7pm on December 29th for a night of comedy, year end reflections and story telling.
While not yet announced (because he hasn’t booked it) the show will also feature a few comedian peers that he enjoys having conversations with and they will reflect on the madness of this past year.

After announcing earlier this year, Punch-Up: Stand Up at The Second City New York is marking a new chapter for The Second City as it expands into the New York stand-up comedy scene. A rotating cast of New York’s best comedians & secret guests will take the stage every Wednesday night, backed by a live band for a uniquely “only in New York” comedy experience.
The 90 minute showcase has already featured comedians such as Judah Friedlander, Mark Normand, Marie Faustin, Jared Freid, and Second City’s own alumni Chris Redd.
The addition of Punch-Up further highlights the evolution of The Second City New York’s programming to be inclusive of “all things comedy” in order to maintain its legendary curation reputation.
The Second City opened its doors in 1959 as a small comedy cabaret and has since grown to become the world’s most influential name in improvisation and comedy, celebrating its 65th year in business in 2024.
