Sand Oner: A painter and doll maker known for creating dolls with long eyelashes in East Los Angeles, Sand Oner has amassed more than 310,000 followers on social media. The muralist decided early on that she wanted to break away from the traditional careers her friends, family, and community were pursuing and create a path for herself to do what she loved. She began dedicating her time to creating, drawing, and painting in 2010. Sand is self-taught and did not go to art school. She had her first art show in 2011. Oner has painted in Puerto Rico, Mexico, Guatemala, Chicago, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Kentucky, and New York.
