How did you discover your passion for comedy:
I was 12 years old watching “Eddie Murphy Raw” with my cousin and I fell in love with the idea. I was in awe of how he controlled the crowd and had them on the edge of their seats hanging on every word and killing them with laughter. All he needed was a mic and his thoughts.
What do you remember most about your first time performing stand-up comedy:
Being so nervous. I wanted to quit, but I couldn’t quit. I had driven out 3 hours with some friends so quitting WASN’T an option.
How would you describe your comedic style:
Aggressive, in your face, no apologies, No F*cks given.
Describe your process for comedic writing:
Very simple. Just write it down when it comes to me, don’t force it, let it be natural.

Describe the comedy scene in your area:
Thriving, but too clicky at times. That’s the answer, let’s move on.
How do you judge success in the world of comedy:
I’ve come to learn throughout the years success is based on how you feel about your own career. If you’re happy with it, who cares what anybody thinks.
What’s been your most memorable moment in comedy:
Winning “2024 Breakout Comedian of the Year” At the BTF Because they are funny in Washington D.C.
What have you learned most from your failures in comedy:
There’s always tomorrow and the next show to erase that failure.
How do people react toward you when they realize that you can make people laugh:
Surprised. Because I am usually quiet and to myself. I’m an introvert.
Describe building a career in stand-up comedy:
You build your career through the L’s you’ve taken. L’s are LEARNING experiences. Find your lane, stay in it, and trust the process.
If you could change one thing in the world of comedy, what would it be:
If I could change 1 thing in the world of comedy… Comics would be booked on talent NOT popularity.

Best advice you’ve ever received from a comedian:
“Every time you return to a city, try to have 10 to 15 minutes of new material for the people who come back to watch you perform. That way, they see something different.” – Ralph Harris
If you were releasing a comedy special this week, what would it be called:
“I Want Sheeken Nuggets”
Funniest encounter you’ve ever had with a celebrity:
After receiving 3 X’s on AGT (America’s Got Talent) … Telling David Hasselhoff, I never thought the Knight Rider would end up my X.
Weirdest place you’ve ever performed any form of comedy:
In a Whataburger at 3 a.m. I had just performed and I ran into some supporters from the show.
A Flo Hernandez Fun Fact:
I got 2 DWI’s in 1 night Driving While Intoxicated, and Driving Without Insurance.
Where would you like your laughs to take you:
My goals change every few years. A lot has to do with my family/kids. When it’s all said and done, I just want my comedy peers to say I was One of the BADDEST MOTHERFUCKERS IN THE GAME.
What would you tell a potential comedian if they ask you how they can own the laughs:
I don’t usually give advice. I can only tell you what has worked for me. I always commit to the act outs and facial expressions. I believe this adds layers to the set and paints a more vivid picture. I truly believe this is the reason why I won Funniest Comic in Texas in 2010 and recently won a national competition in Washington D.C. at the Because They’re Funny Comedy Festival. I was crowned 2024 Breakout Comedian of the Year.

What are your thoughts on the future of comedy:
Comedy, like everything else, will go through its ups, downs, and phases. The internet has definitely changed the game dramatically. Some good, some bad. Some deserving, some not so much. However, I believe the true art form of STAND-UP will eventually expose the posers.
If you could write an episode for ONE classic TV sitcom, which show would it be:
The episode we never got… Archie Bunker meets Fred Sanford. IYKYK
If you could choose ONE comedy club and THREE comedians to perform with on your perfect comedy show, how would it go:
The classic Def Comedy Jam stage. I open for Burr, Murphy, and Bernie. It would be the beginning of the “I Ain’t Scared Of You Motherfuckas” tour.
What’s next for you:
Record my comedy special in New York City. Shout out to Bob Sumner and Legacy Entertainment.
Why should a person always laugh at life:
Laughter is the most immediate form and genuine natural therapy.
