During this episode of Hiking With Kevin, host Kevin Nealon hikes with comedian Bill Burr at Will Rogers State Park.

During their hike Bill chats with Kevin about his love of music, drumming and flying helicopters.

Bill also opens up about music influencing his comedy, his perfect apology, playing the Royal Albert Hall in England, his upcoming tour, the ridiculous uniforms for various activities, his favorite antacid plus more.

Sadly, several days after filming this episode, the beautiful trail in Will Rogers State Park was destroyed by the Pacific Palisades fire.

Tragically, over 21,000 acres were torched with thousands of families losing their homes.

Bill Burr: Burr recently wrapped up his Netflix animated series F Is For Family, which ended after five seasons on Netflix in November 2021. Other recent credits for the comedian include the Disney Plus Star Wars series “The Mandalorian,” the Channing Tatum family film “Dog,” and a hosting stint on “Saturday Night Live.”

In between tour dates, Burr is currently filming “Old Dads,” a movie he’s writing, directing and starring in alongside Bobby Cannavale (“Ant-Man”), Bokeem Woodbine (“Spider-Man: Homecoming”), Katie Aselton (“Black Rock”), and Reign Edwards (“Snowfall”). “Old Dads” follows three friends who sell their company to a millennial and find themselves struggling to keep pace with the changing times and culture.

Kevin Nealon: Best known as a long-running cast member of “Saturday Night Live” and the show’s “Weekend Update” anchor for three seasons, actor, comedian and writer Kevin Nealon got his start working the trenches of the L.A. stand-up comedy scene and was fortunate enough to land on “SNL” at the start of one of its most revered eras – one that included fellow Not-Ready-for-Primetime-Players like Phil Hartman, Jon Lovitz, Jan Hooks and Dana Carvey. But after nearly a decade in the show’s acclaimed ensemble cast, Nealon’s career seemed to lack direction, unlike many of his co-stars who left “SNL” for greener Hollywood pastures. Following several failed sitcom attempts and seemingly endless cameos in teenage mall comedies, Nealon finally came into his own with winning roles on Showtime’s dark comedy series “Weeds” (Showtime, 2003-2012), playing a client-turned-cohort to a suburban pot dealing mom, and the antic older brother on Matt LeBlanc’s family comedy “Man With A Plan” (CBS 2016- ). Having established himself as a dependable supporting player and stand-up comedian in his own right, Nealon had largely moved beyond his notoriety as merely an “SNL” alumni.
