Comedian Nick Thune is set to debut his next stand-up comedy special, Born Young, on the YouTube Channel of Nate Bargatze’s Nateland.
For Thune, the special comes in the heels of Nick Thune: Folk Hero in 2014 and Nick Thune: Good Guy in 2016. Previously, the comic also put out Thick Noon, a comedy album released in 2010.
While no logline for Thune’s new hour was provided, it was filmed at The Lab at Zanies in Nashville, with Mike Lavin directing. Bargatze and Adrian Kulp exec produced for Nateland Entertainment.
Known for his absurdist storytelling, razor-sharp deadpan wit and inclusion of music in his act, Thune has frequently opened for Bargatze and headlined sold-out shows worldwide. He’s made 10 appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and has also been seen starring in Netflix’s film Mixtape alongside Julie Bowen, with additional appearances in films like Knocked Up, Venom, Dave Made a Maze, and Mr. Roosevelt. On TV, he’s been seen in Physical (Apple TV+), Love Life (Max), How I Met Your Father (Hulu), Grand Crew (NBC), Not Dead Yet (ABC), and Life in Pieces (CBS), and he’ll next be seen as part of NBC’s highly anticipated spinoff of The Office.
