Once, an iconic figure fed thousands with only a few items, and many considered it a true miracle.
But these two friends just want to feed thousands of people with laughter weekly, and everyone will consider it pure comedy.
The Fat Fish podcast was created by two friends and fellow stand-up comedians, Ralph Barbosa and Jamie Garcia. They are joined regularly by a superstar special guest to discuss all things life, pop culture, and comedy.
Ralph Barbosa: One of the shyest attention hogs to ever do comedy, Ralph Barbosa’s disarming and laid-back style has made him a headliner across the country, and later this year, he will star in his first hour-long Netflix stand-up special. The past year has been momentous for the 26-year-old. In August, Ralph recorded his first Netflix special; in January, he made his debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and his Comedy Central Stand-up Featuring: Ralph Barbosa set topped 3 million views on YouTube. In November 2022, Ralph starred in the HBO Max comedy special, Entre Nos: The Winners 3, and earlier that year his Don’t Tell Comedy performance was released on YouTube and now has over 4.5 million views. In 2021, Ralph won the New York Latino Film Festival Stand-Up competition and in 2019 he won the Funniest Comic in Texas competition.
Jaime Garcia: A stand-up comedian and photographer residing in the Lone Star state and touring all over the country. Jaime Garcia enjoys creating timeless laughter between hundreds and thousands of audience members and capturing timeless moments in pop culture history that fans will remember for the rest of their lives. Highlighted by regular appearances on the Tiger Belly podcast with Bobby Lee, Garcia has become a featured performer alongside Ralph Barbosa and collaborated comically with many celebrity figures, including Ms. Pat, Bobby Lee, and Kumail Nanjani.
This week, Ralph and Jaime are joined by friend and fellow comedian David Lucas as they discuss various topics, including Samuel L Jackson, Mexican soul food, being a broke comic, and much more.
David Lucas: David Lucas was born in Macon, GA. He started acting an early age, performing in numerous stage plays at the Macon Little Theatre. He relocated to Hollywood where he was a contestant on, “MTV Yo Momma”. He has since written for several television shows and continues to perform stand-up all over the country (for such comedians as Louis CK, Erik Griffin, Joe Rogan, Brendan Schaub, Tony Hinchcliffe, Bert Kreisher, DL Hughley, and many more). David is a Kill Tony Hall of Famer and currently headlining his own tour!
