My Momma Told Me is a weekly podcast hosted by stand-up comedians Langston Kerman and David Gborie

Join them as they investigate the most exciting, groundbreaking, and sometimes problematic Black conspiracy theories.

They’ll have guests cover silly, scary, and conspiracies they learned from that uncle who used to wear jeans when swimming in the public pool.

Langston Kerman: Langston Kerman is an LA-based stand-up comic, actor, and writer from Oak Park, IL. Langston’s first half-hour special aired in September 2018 as part of Comedy Central Stand-Up Presents. Kerman wrote and starred in Bust Down, featuring Chris Redd, Sam Jay, and Jak Knight. Additionally, Langston released his first comedy album Lightskinned Feelings, which was recorded at the historic Punchline SF Comedy Club in San Francisco. In TV, Langston recurs as ‘Jared’ on the HBO hit series Insecure by Issa Rae and Larry Wilmore. He appeared on the third season of Adam DeVine’s House Party, and his other credits include High Maintenance, Strangers, and Comedy Bang! Bang!. In 2015 Kerman was honored as a ‘New Faces’ at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, and chosen as a finalist for the NBC Diversity Standup showcase at the Hollywood Improv. He has toured all over the country, including dates at The Bridgetown Festival in Portland, The Red Clay Comedy Festival, The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail, the RIOT LA Comedy Festival on the comics to watch lineup, and as a co-headliner at the New York Comedy Festival.

David Gborie: A comedian, writer, voice actor, and all-around thorough dude originally from Denver, Colorado. He’s recently appeared on NBC’s AP Bio, TBS’s Chad, and can currently be heard as the voice of Comedy Central. He is the co-host of the both the wildly popular All Fantasy Everything podcast as well as My Momma Told Me with Langston Kerman. He is also featured in the Adult Swim animated series Royal Crackers, the star-studded music video for George Harrison’s “My Sweet Lord,” and Netflix’s animated series Exploding Kittens, produced by Mike Judge and Greg Daniels. David is the proud son of a hardworking Sierra Leonean mother. He reps Colorado real heavy, and he’s never called the cops.

This week, Langston and David sit down with actor Brandon T. Jackson (The Family Business: New Orleans) and chat about all the unknown things around us: realms, chess, religion, and Black alien race are discussed at length. Also, what’s up with humans and machines/REAL ID? Of course TikTok videos are involved and the boys get a special FaceTime call from the father of truth: Terrence Howard. Langston and David can officially die happy now.
