Nurse-turned-viral-comic Nurse Blake on Tuesday announced a new North American tour that will see him hit 68 cities across North America this fall.
Dubbed But Did You Die?, the tour kicks off in Wilkes Barre, PA on Friday, September 12 and will continue through early December. Shows will see Blake dive into the wild things patients and their families say and do at hospitals, from self-diagnosing Stage 8 Cancer with WebMD, to hitting the call light like they are on a game show.
The tour is presented by Outback Presents and comes on the heels of Nurse Blake’s 150-city run, titled titled Shock Advised, from 2023-24. Artist presale will take place from April 23 at 9 a.m. local through April 25 at 8 a.m. local, with tickets opening up to the general public on the 25th at 9 a.m. local.
“I’m so excited to get back on the road and tour again!,” Nurse Blake said in a statement to Deadline. “If you know me at all, you know I go there – to all the places that make us gasp, cringe, and cry in laughter from all that we face as nurses – and this tour will be no different. The But Did You Die? Tour is for everyone, so bring your friends, coworkers, partners, and those sassy grannies, and join me for an unforgettable night. Can’t wait to see you all!”
Boasting over 4 million followers across social media, Nurse Blake shot to fame with original comedy videos aimed at the nursing profession, which he created to cope with the stress of the job. His videos have amassed over 300 million views to date, and he’s now working as a comedian full-time. Last year, Blake was named to the OUT100 list for Activism that is “helping to make the world a better place for LGBTQ+ people.” He’s also the creator of NurseCon at Sea, one of the largest and most popular nursing conferences, as well as the author of multiple books, and is represented by CAA.
